Meet Mrs. Laura Maier

My name is Laura Maier and I became the principal of Evergreen Elementary in 2020.  I am honored and excited to begin this journey with the staff, students, and families here at Evergreen.  Here, we are on a mission to provide an engaging learning environment that fosters high achievement and a sense of community for all Evergreen students, staff, and families.  Together we will accomplish this by setting high expectations, building positive relationships, and providing meaningful learning opportunities.  I look forward to working with the kids, families, community, and staff to help everyone reach their full potential.

Prior to Evergreen, I was the Associate Principal at Fox River Middle School, which started my career at Waterford Graded School District.  Before coming to Waterford, I worked as a math coach, interventionist, and classroom teacher.  Over the years I have continued my learning at UW-Milwaukee, Cardinal Stritch, and Carroll University.  My goal is to take my prior experiences and current opportunities to provide the best environment at Evergreen!

Away from my Evergreen family, I also enjoy spending time with my husband and three children.  On the weekends you can usually find me cheering on my kids from the sidelines whether it's soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball, or softball.  I also love reading, and try to get a few books in, in my spare time!

I genuinely look forward to meeting each one of you and working with your children every day.
